These frames can be linked by small connectors which squeeze in the trenches at the back of each frame. The setup is reconfigurable and expandable.
The central planes are pressed into the frames. If this is (too) tight, you can push it in and secure with glue or play with the slicer settings a bit, such as 'XY Contour Compensation' on OrcaSlicer.
You can attach all sorts of items to the central planes, and design cutouts for all sorts of images or objects. If you want to display photos, then design a thin rectangle that is 12mm smaller in width and height then the frame, and make a cutout that is slightly smaller than the image. You can tape the photo to the backside of this plate and put it all in a frame.
