Simple design that when assembled creates a hollow dodecahedron with one side open. I can't remember where I saw the idea for the alignment tabs, otherwise I'd provide credit for the idea.
The idea was to create a concrete mold, so the inside is a regular dodecahedron, with the top chamfered to smooth the top face smoothly. However, the design could easily be used as a planter or container.
Prints without supports as long as the faces with the tabs are angled in (the larger pentagon is against the build plate). The models should import into slicer in the correct orientation for printing.
Picture shows the scaled model at 50%, and the dodecahedron snaps together without glue at 0.2 mm layer height. There's a little bit more tolerance in the 100%, which would require glue for a more robust finished model.
Print six (x6) of Part A for the bottom of the container, and five (x5) of Part B to form the top and opening.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
