This model was originally designed to control the quality (height) of baked goods. If it shows green, the bread has the correct height and can be sold. However, one could modify the scale to her/his liking, e. g. using a marker.

Printed from PETG.

Settings:

  • 6 perimeters
  • 40 % infill
  • 0.2 mm layer height

BOM:

  • Printed parts
  • 2x steel springs 6 mm internal diametre
  • Electrical tape, two different colours (for the height indicator)
  • Superglue

Assembly:

  1. Glue the indicator foot onto the gauge.
  2. Slide the gauge between the two legs and then connect the legs using the bridge.
  3. Insert the indicator rod through the centre hole of the bridge and add the two springs on top of each other.
  4. The indicator and its foot should fit together tightly and not require glue.
  5. Use a perfect-sized product/object for reference and mark the scale accordingly.
(You can also mark the scale beforehand; depends on its purpose)
