This is a mod that I made that lets you mount a Logitech C930 camera to the frame of the Prusa XL to give you a nozzle-level view.

It swings out of the way so it can be compatible with the Prusa XL enclosure, and locks in place using magnets.

You will need to replace the right side CoreXY Front end piece with the modified one, and the re-tension you belt.

Supports are only needed on the Camera Arm (only on the hinge part)

The magnets are glued in place using any type of CA glue (super glue)

You will need to remove the built in stand on the C930e.

Pay attention to the magnet's polarity during assembly!

Hardware Required:

  • 10x5x2 Neodymium magnet bars (Qty 4)
  • M3 brass inserts 3mm deep (Qty 2)
  • M3x6 screws (Qty 2)
  • M4x20 screw (Qty 1)
  • M4 hex nut (Qty 1)
  • Zip Tie (Qty 2)

Refer to the video below for disassembly of the C930e. After you get the silver cover off (around minute 4), you'll need to remove the 4 black screws that are holding the metal hinge to the plastic body (See picture for screw location. Then wiggle the stand free of the camera. Pull the two metal hinges from the stand and insert them in to the printed Camera Arm.
