Gyroid infill not only prints quickly but also looks aesthetically pleasing when top and bottom surfaces are left out.

Another great option is to use no infill at all for a see-through design—just be sure to add enough walls, or your printer might end up creating a smartphone catapult!

Adding more walls generally results in a sturdier and heavier stand, providing a satisfying feel both in hand and while adjusting it.

Although I haven't thoroughly tested this, I believe resizing to fit a specific phone or tablet, along with cutting or widening the left and right sides of the guide rail, could significantly enhance the appearance and better match the object on display.

Functional differences are:

• Guide rail to keep the upper part centered on the lower part
• Dimples relying on weight/friction instead of the cog-wheel design

Optics:

• Hiding any visible cog-wheel mechanisms from the side for a cleaner look
• Different shape (side-view)
