Tufty2040 Case design which includes space for a LiPo Amigo Pro + 2000mAh battery, which is contained in the badge case, so there isn't the need to open the case to recharge the battery separately.

This case is a bit on the thick side, but I would rather have a charging circuit and a battery large enough to last a full day when attending conferences and events.

There are cutouts on the side of the case where the Lipo Amigo USB-C charging port is to toggle the charging boards on and off with something like a pair of tweezers or a paper clip (I tend to always have either one of those SIM removal tools or tweezers with me so I can easily access the buttons if needed, hence this decision).

There are also access holes to hitting the button on the Tufty board with a small tool. The access holes can also be used as an alternative hook point for a lanyard if you want (I found that I can also hit the Power Button of the Tufty with the lanyard clip; I'm not sure if this is a flaw or a feature…)

The Bottom Shell is also intended to have M2 heat inserts that the bolts will screw into to hold the case together. You could use longer bolts if you wanted to go all the way through instead.

Parts:

  • Tufty2040:
  • LiPo Amigo:
  • 2000 mAh Battery:
  • M2*20mm Bolt
  • M2 Heat insert

The printed example in the images is with transparent blue PETG (Top Plate) and transparent PCTG (Bottom Shell).
I did prototyping prints with PLA+. Generally, most materials should be fine to print this in.
