Part cooling fan duct for Ender 3 4010 fan. I made these to address some issues I had with other fan duct designs, namely:

  1. Duct outlet too close to bed, resulting in deformation when printing at high bed temperatures.
  2. Duct outlet too close to hotend, resulting in deformation of nozzle even with silicone sock.
  3. Bottom of duct too thin, resulting in same issue as 1.
  4. The fan cover busts out of the fan, so I included a lip to hold it in place.
  5. I wanted more like a sheet of air blowing across the nozzle tip rather than concentrated as 1 spot.
  6. For v31, the bottom footprint of the fan duct is severely reduced to avoid knocking into bed clips but may be more difficult to print due to small bed surface area.

So far I've used one printed in PETG and printing with it for over 2 months at bed temps ~90++ C and nozzle temps ~250C and there has been no deformation of the fan duct observed.

! Both fan ducts are not parallel to bed surface and should be laid down on bed before printing.

! v24 is printable on an Ender 3, I have not tried v31.

Shown in pictures, blue is v24, green is v31 (printed as a test print, can also be printed in that orientation for better bed adhesion).

Edit 14/8/24: Added v34 based on v31 with taller duct outlet for less restriction.

No supports required, print in PETG, 0.12-0.24mm layer height.
