This handy tool allows you to create storage boxes for Zach Freedman's Gridfinity system that are specifically designed around storing small, round items such as PC Watercooling fittings!

The file is parametric and even better, fully configured, complete with a bunch of premade boxed that I use myself.

Using the configurator is simple:

  1. Enter the number of units wide and long that you want the box to be (a unit is the standard gridfinity 42mm, but you can change this parameter if you wish!).
  2. Add the diameter of the fitting, as well as the total height of the fitting (including the thread)
  3. The configurator will now make a box for you and space the fittings automatically!

By default the system uses a boss that the fitting slots onto. This can be altered in both height and diameter for different styles of fitting. If you want a pocket instead of a boss, simply enter a negative number instead. The configurator will adjust the depth of the floor of the box for you and make a pocket instead.

I have provided two versions of the file. The F3Z file is the fully blown configuration file, complete with examples. The F3D file (labelled basic) does not feature configurations and can be used if you're on a version of Fusion 360 that doesn't support it.

The Basic one has the same functionality, but you will have to edit the parameters instead. They are labelled so things should be logical enough.
