Overview:
I wanted somewhere to store the tools that came with the Sovol SV08. I liked the model by LucaOnefire, but I wanted to be able to store the tools on the frame. I also printed some of my T-Handles for the wrenches and wanted to be able to store those and a number of other tools including a glue stick.
I'm not completely happy with the design, but it has been working very well so far.
Details:
My design had the following requirements:
I created a bracket that could be printed separately out of a tougher material (I used PETG) and be printed in a strong orientation without any supports. This bracket attaches to the SV08's frame with M3x8 screws and M3x4x4 heat inserts. To install, simply tilt the bracket as shown in the picture and snap it into place.
I have provided my Fusion 360 file if you want to change anything or simply to change screw or insert sizes, or how tight the bracket clamps in place. The bracket can also be used to attach other components that I haven't thought of yet.
With all of the tools loaded up, there is slight sagging, but even with the printer running at it's highest speeds, I haven't had any issues with the tray or bracket.
Printing:
Everything prints without supports. I recommend using PETG or stronger for the bracket, and PLA is fine for the tray. I used an infill of 15% with 4 perimeters although 3 is probably fine.
The author remixed this model.
This model uses a couple design elements from the original and adds the ability to store additional tools. It also mounts directly to the frame instead of a wall.
