Inspired by Motorcycle rally Roadbook box, scaled down to to fit a 58 mm receipt from a standard receipt printer which can be found inexpensively online, in feature a male Garmin mount on the back and a belt made from a size 027(OD 36.61 mm) O-ring. the front trasparent panel (53 mm x 75 mm) is made from a straight walled plastic bottle cut to size to fit in the premade 1 mm grove.
Material:
3D printed pieces:
2 roller
2 handle
1 box
Non 3D printed pieces:
1 O-ring size 027 (OD 36.61 mm)
2 as straight as possible piece of coat hanger wire (60 mm x 2 mm)
1 flat piece of thin transparent plastic (I used the side wall of a straight walled plastic bottle) of size 53 mm x 75 mm
Assembly:
Once you have everything 3D printed cleaned up you can start assembling.
First the 2 wire are press fitted in the small holes.
Then the 2 rollers are inserted and the handle are press fitted on (very tight, may need some force), if they are to loose there's a hole for a pin to slide in.
Now you slide the front transparent panel and if you want fold it in such a way to block it in
At last you can fit the O-ring in the pulley.
Operation:
in works like all roadbook box, use tape to hold the reel of paper to the rolling shaft.
