You could just buy a new canister assembly
or. just crazy glue or expoxy the crack/broken pieces and slide this under the handle to add additional support. You can either glue/epoxy or use double sided carpet tape this reinforcement on. Your nozzle tool and brush still fits in their holders.
This will give the handle strength and save you about $80 on a replacement waste canister.
The handle is part of the structure that seals the canister to the frame, and makes all the gaskets seal tight. Dyson states you carry it by this handle. I believe It should have been more stout, using more plastic. This addresses and fixes that.
I also included a mating top part if you want a round handle.
