A "putting gate" is a training device used to practice putting in golf. The idea is to narrow down the focus to a smaller target.

Included here are 3 different widths of putting gates, 55, 75, and 95mm. Two versions of each are included, one for outdoor use on a real putting surface, and the other to be used in conjunction with the indoor base. The difference between the two types of gates is the outdoor version has a pointy end so you can press it into the turf.

The indoor version has two different sized bases. The larger base designed so you can place a heavy object on it (like a book) to hold it in place.

How to Use:

First, I'm not a golf instructor, but I know what works for me!

Put the gate into the ground, and start with the ball just a foot away. It might seem really close, but with the 55mm gate, you have only 7mm (just over 1/4") of clearance on each side of the ball! The goal, obviously, is to hit the ball through the gate without touching it. This really helps with feedback of your alignment and whether your face is square at impact, and will translate to more short putts made on the course!

Notes:

I suggest printing the gates themselves at 100% infill to make these a bit sturdier. The indoor base can be done with 15% infill.
