Mat Man can be used with young children to teach them about body parts. The pieces can also be used to build letters. I did not create Mat Man, I just created the 3D model to replace the paper version.
I believe Mat Man was created by Learning Without Tears, and they have some free pdf printables and some additional resources for sale. https://www.lwtears.com/mat-man-downloads
Learning Ideas:
Assemble Mat Man while listening to the song (or while singing it)
Sing the song while pointing to the child's head, eyes, etc.
Sing the song while pointing to a pet's nose, ears, etc.
Draw Mat Man while singing the song (you can do a circle for the body and the hands)
Use the pieces to create capital and lower case letters.
Build a letter and then have the child try and write it
You will need:
2 large half circles for the head
3 small half circles (mouth and ears)
2 tiny circles for eyes
1 tiny oval for a nose
1 large rectangle body (with or without heart cutout)
4 long rectangles for arms and legs
2 short rectangles for feet (print 1 extra for a better capital E if you're doing letters)
