Gx16 charge port cap (Onewheel)

So this is a threaded gx16 charge port cover tailored for use in a vesc Onewheel.

the model above is great and fits the port itself well, very nicely modeled threads however for use in a Onewheel where the port is recessed into a hole in the rails it’s nearly impossible to thread on and off, also does not have a seal of any sort inside. 

i made this version threaded for the gx16 with a knurled band and a cross bar recessed into the center to allow you to get the threads started with the tips of your fingers then grab onto that knurled pad once you get it loose to remove it or started to tighten it. I also put a recess to house a tpu or tpe seal down inside at the end of the threads to seal agaist the connector face and provide a bit of water resistance.

i recommend petg bare minimum and the lowest layer height you can manage to get good quality and resolution on the threads and knurling, i would reccomemd 100% infill concentric. Also will need support enabled for the cross bar recess at the bottom i print it with the connector opening facing up.

i will include the file for the tpu seal as well, 95a works but ninja flex or fila flex in a lower durometer is better for its sealing characteristics.

I’ll likely put a version without the seal up as well for other use cases or people who don’t want a seal inside.
