Companion Cube P1P Door

This is a simple door you can create by laser cutting a plastic of choice (I used 1/8" clear acrylic), attaching a lip to the bottom for structural support and installing a two-piece latch for locking it in place. None of the printed pieces should need support.

I joined the latch pieces together by self-threading a 16mm M2 bolt through the combined hole. The bottom lip uses two 8mm M3 bolts w/ nuts.

The tabs on the door should snap in place snugly when placing the door - given variations from case to case, you may need to slightly shift some plastic around. Mine has some resistance when fitting, but it pops into place relatively easily.

Simple door for the Companion Cube P1P mod that doesn't require hinges or additional modding of the original design. Constructed with a laser cut main piece and printed supporting pieces.
