I am working on a timer for a pinewood derby track and needed a quick and dirty frame, thus the dowel joints were born. These are designed for ¾" dowels to snugly fit into and were tested in horizontal and vertical orientation. The slots printed vertically had a bit more slop than the ones printed horizontally but for my use case these will suffice. I think this concept is really useful for building out all sorts of things, ¾" is a large dowel but I think the size is going to result in a surprisingly sturdy frame.
