Description

PDF

This is a specific case meant for use with the Helix acrylic sandwich cases, like here and here. Specifically, this has been tested with the 3mm acrylic plates from Keyhive. The goal was to provide a cover around the edges of the case while preserving the transparent nature of the bottom of the case and the top plate.

Hardware

If you are using the spacers provided in this print, a 1.6mm PCB, and 3mm acrylic, then the following should work for hardware.

  • 10x M2 16mm screws
  • 10x M2 nuts

This build has a taller bottom spacer than the Corne collar that I have also made. This may make the nut harder to fasten on to the screw. You can modify this in the provided fusion files by changing the bottom spacing of the case and the bottom spacer height.

Printing

Supports are needed for the inside tabs that hold the collar in place between the bottom acrylic plate and the pcb. I used the tree supports found in the latest iteration of Prusa/Orcaslicer.

0.2mm layer height will help the fillet on the top edge of the case look better than 0.3mm, but both work fine in testing.

You will need to print 10 top and bottom spacers as well .
