Based on the great model from leejsmith, this one is customized for the Keychron K8 keyboard and adds a Zaparoo reader.

It needs printing supports for the card reader interior. It includes also an option without card reader.
Update 2025: Added right back file version with a hole for the ADC Tape In module.

The MT-32pi case, stand and cover are completely optional. The internal black MT32-pi case is also included here.

Printed with Bambu Lab X1C with standard (0.20) defaults -adding tree supports at 20, no brim for the two spacers.

If you are wondering about the keyboard in the pictures, I got two Keychron keycap sets to give it a mix of MSX and CPC464 feel.

The separation of the USB hub includes a couple of challenges -though that is also true for the original case too. You may want to watch the video for details on the general mounting of the original case this one is based on, where Lee did a great job explaining it:

There were a couple of challenges, mostly around the cables between the Mister and the USB hub -which are common with Lee's case.

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

Based on the great model from leejsmith, this one

  • is for Keychron K8, opening the left side to keep the charging cable on, and to access the keyboard switches.
  • it includes internal back spacers for the keyboard that ensure it is kept in place and close the gaps.
  • adds the possibility of including a NFC card reader (Zaparoo) in the back top left
  • adds the possibility of opening for the ADC Tape In MiSTEr module.
  • is adapted to the exact outputs of USB hub 2.1,
  • has the user port in the back -nothing coming out-, closes the right open side as that output is not needed
  • adjusts the network opening and removes the debugging output
  • it is intended to be used soldering the power cable of the USB hub to the Mister as leejsmith suggested
  • includes an external MT-32 Pi support and enclosure
