Since my family and I don't have a coffee table in our living room, we don't have any stable surfaces to put drinks and cups on (mainly because of ease of cleaning and bigger VR play area).
So I designed an anti-spill cup holder that can be put on the couch, or any soft surface. It prevents the cup from tilting, and - if something were to spill - protects the surface below by catching the liquid in the tray.
Of course, excessive leaning of the cup holder will lead to spilled contents onto your couch, depending on the volume and viscosity of the liquid. But I wanted to make the tray small enough to be printed on a 210x210 mm print bed, like a Prusa MK4 or similar. The outer perimiter is ~200.3 mm in diameter.
The cup holder is 89 mm (3½") in diameter on the inside. That should cover most common cup sizes, but I have thoughts of adding size adaptors that fit inside, depending on the feedback. It works good for tall drinking glasses also, so long as the diameter isn't too small.
It can be printed without supports.
If you are going to use it for hot beverages i recommend printing it in PETG or other material that can handle higher temperatures.
For a nicer design you can manually add color changes at layer 3 (Z0.6 mm) and 6 (Z1.2 mm).
