Basic Information:
I designed this (mostly) universal 3d Printer enclosure exhaus system that can be used with pretty much every type of enclosure.
This exhaust sytem can be removed toollessly and a lid can be placed on the hole.
Required Components:
- 8x fan screws
- 120mm PC fan
- PSU with voltage control (For fan speed regulation)
- 100mm diameter flex tube
Tools Needed:
- Knife
- Screwdriver
- (Optional) Saw for wooden enclosures
Installation Instructions
For Mesh Enclosure
- Prepare the Holes: Pinch 4 holes for screws in designated areas for “EnclosureAdapter1.stl” and “EnclosureAdapterInside.stl.”
- Connect the Adapters:
- Attach “EnclosureAdapterOutside.stl” on the outside of the enclosure.
- Attach “EnclosureAdapterInside.stl” on the inside.
- Secure both parts with screws.
- Cut the Hole: Use a knife to cut the hole for the flex tube.
- Attach the Tube: Fit the flex tube to the “100mmTubeAdapter.stl”
- Screw the “100mmTubeAdapter.stl.” to your 120mm pc fan
For Wooden Enclosure
- Position the Adapter: Hold “EnclosureAdapterOutside.stl” against the desired location.
- Mark the Circle: Draw a circle where the hole will be sawed.
- Secure the Adapter: Screw “EnclosureAdapterOutside.stl” directly into the wood or pre-drill the holes for screws.
- Attach the Tube: Fit the flex tube to the “100mmTubeAdapter.stl”
- Screw the “100mmTubeAdapter.stl.” to your 120mm pc fan
