Shiva, along with Brahma and Vishnu, is one of the gods of the Trimurti. He is the God the Destroyer of the Universe. Shiva is also the founder of Yoga. Name meaning: From Sanskrit, śiva means 'good' or 'merciful'. Shiva personifies cosmic consciousness, the static male principle of the universe (Purusha)
