This is my take on an open frame micro ATX PC case. Inspired by “ATX Open PC Frame” by Heblyz, I created this model from scratch specifically with the following features in mind:
- Fits mATX motherboards
- Fits larger ThermalTake 800W+ power supplies
- Three points of connection for the power supply instead of just 2
- Includes a PCI card stabilizer
- Has the ability to mount it (screws) to a cabinet for use in an arcade cabinet
- Keyed arms for less hardware use and more stability
Optional Extras
- Mount.stl - If you need to have the case screwed down to a cabinet, but want the ability to take it off later, mount can be permanently attached, then 4 screws on the left/right attach the case to the mount.
- Washer.stl - If you're going to print your own PC case, may as well print a handful of washers to color match when screwing down the mobo to the case?
BOM
- (22) 3x4.5x5mm heat sets (or 26 if using the mount)
- (9) M3x25mm socket head screws (or 12 if using the mount)
- (10) M3x6mm screws, socket or button head
Since most cases come with power switches, reset switches, LEDs, etc. you may also need those items as well. I used this power switch + power LED combo.
