The chuck stop clip is designed for a lathe chuck with 65 mm diameter and jaws with 25.4 x 10 mm. It can be used for 3-jaw and 4-jaw chucks.
It is ideal to locate short parts beyond the chuck jaws to provide clearance for facing operations. Compared to a chuck stop spider the center remains free and for thin walled workpieces the clip can be removed after clamping. This is very helpful for making internal threads.
The shown clips are printed with PETG in heights of 5, 10 and 12 mm.
Nozzle diameter = 0.4 mm; Layer height = 0.2 mm; 4 perimeters
For easy adaptation to other lathe dimensions the FreeCAD file (version 0.20) is included.
