I saw a metal version of one of these on Garage Grown Gear and thought to myself, I bet I can 3d print that.
So I went into tinkercad, put a bar piece and 5 circles down with one void and printed it. out.
The V1 file is 140mm by 40mm and 5mm thick. I think it can be a lot smaller so I'll probably make a smaller and thinner v2. And probably spread the circles out a tad so it holds the wound up rope better.
You pull a loop through the hole and pull it over one end of the “bone” that should hold it in place and not let it fit through the carabiner holding your food bag at the end of your rope. There are better ways to explain it, google “pct bear hang” and you should get plenty of results. It can be done with a simple stick you find on the ground.
