This handy little display uses Retina LCD Panels harvested from eWaste to repurpose fantastic screens from useless iPad tablets. These 9.7" LCDs found in 3rd and 4th gen iPads have high resolution and equally high color and contrast providing amazing experiences for 4:3 content.
The MiSTer Platform supports this resolution perfectly, providing crisp gaming experience. These displays are sometimes referred to as 1536p displays.
Laser Bear Industries does sell kits for these along with ready to use monitors.
We styled this case to look like a classic CRT TV, but it can also be printed to be more like a traditional flat panel.
We also included the file to mount an internal Raspberry Pi 2-3-4-5 inside of the unit. We use that model to make marketing displays, but could also be used for retro emulation devices.
All of these files will print without supports, they just need some minor bridging so make sure your bridge settings are good to go. All parts are made to fit on a Prusa MK3/4 So minimum bed size is those machine dimensions. It is a long print that does take a significant amount of time to make.
