Managed to break the origional stepper motor mount on the Y-axis by running my printer at 6k accel for quite a couple of months. So therefore I designed a more robust version as a replacement, includng a new fitting endstop mount.
Print instructions:
- 4 peremiters;
- 6 top and bottom walls;
- 35% infill;
- minimal supports underneeth the overhang, as shown in the picture, the rest of the model is designed to print without supports.
Material:
Print in preferibly in ABS, ASA or Nylon, as the model will constantly be near the heat bed. PETG would problably work in a pinch but I wouldn't use it long term.
Attaching:
- All screws used for holding the stepper motor are m3*10 din 912;
- For attaching the two models I used an m3 bolt and heatset insert. But using an plastic screw or oversized bolt, would both work fine as well;
- The Y-axis end stop will srew in using the origional plastic screws;
- Holding the assembly to the frame can be done using the origional screws that go into the extrusions on the back.
