This design features a modular organizer system that gives you the ability to customize its layout to best suite your use case. It can store up to 6 pencils or pens.

Size Check

Before printing, ensure your writing tools are compatible with the case!

Creating Your Layout

This case's modular system is based around the number of pencils/pens you want to store, all other elements are scaled accordingly. There are 5 types of modules:

PM Modules are the basis that decide which other modules are compatible. Compatible modules are grouped into folders, and module filenames start with the number of pencils/pens their configuration supports (e.g. 3A is an A module for the 3 pencil configuration).

PM modules come in a variety of pen/pencil combinations. The ratio of pencils to pens is in the file's name (e.g. 6PM2-4 implies 2 P and 4 M slots). Blank PM modules are also provided.

Ruler Modules (R) pair with a PM module, as seen in the filename (e.g. R-3P pairs with 3P).

Sharpener modules (S) will require a compatible sharpener blade and screw.

It is important that the blade has a rounded top edge for a successful fit.

You are encouraged to customize A and B modules to best fit your tools.

Print Instructions

Print objects as oriented. PM, A, and B module files should be printed twice (unless PM module is paired with a R module).

Recommended material is PETG. R module rulers should be printed in transparent PETG and a color that contrasts with paper (glass settings loaded into the 3MF). The pencil sharpener cartridge (S-module-p2) can also be printed in clear PETG.

Print all parts at a 0.2mm layer height, except the ruler, which should be printed at 0.1mm. For added strength, the case can be printed with additional perimeters.

Assembly

No glue is needed, all modules are simply pressed firmly into place. Start with the PM module, ensuring you are inserting it in the position closest to the hinge. It will only fit in one direction, note the alignment points on the case and the module. Repeat for the lid, then press in the other modules.
