This simple steel roll/coil load model yields excellent results when printed in resin and performs adequately on FDM printers. To achieve optimal banding in FDM, consider using layer heights between 0.08 and 1.0—experiment with your slicer settings before printing. Alternatively, you can manually paint the banding afterward. For optimal FDM results, I recommend printing the model on its side.
Enhance any train layout by incorporating this steel coil into your operation. Add hold-downs for loads in your gondolas or flat cars to keep them securely in place.
The model is available in Z scale (1:220), N scale (1:160), HO scale (1:87), S scale (1:64), and O scale (1:48). You can adjust the roll width to suit your specific needs.
