Trophy Ball-Holder

Intended Use

This universal ball-holder is intended both for collectors and enthusiasts as a celebratory trophy stand for a special ball as well as for clubs and tournament hosts that want to present their game balls as prominently as possible during a tournament or event (possibly with a sponsor's logo on the side). Therefore, the 3D model is kept as simple as possible to simplify customization. A few ideas for customization can be seen in the pictures above.

Universal Ball Sizes

This ball holder is suitable for balls in sizes 1 to 7, i.e. for balls with diameters from 14 cm to 25 cm. This makes the holder suitable for any handball, soccer ball, (beach-) volleyball or basketball.

The holder could potentially be suitable for American footballs. The ball will probably lie in the ball holder at an angle. Unfortunately, I have not been able to try it out myself. Feel free to test it yourself and upload a photo of it.

Printing

The model in plain can be printed in Bambu PLA Basic with a 0.4 mm nozzle and standard slicer settings in roughly 90 mins. The result from my A1 requires very close inspection to see any layer lines - printing the model standing on the bottom.

If you customize the model, consider printing it on the side with minimal support to optimize your printing time.
