This is my version of the Formfutura Refill 2.0 flanges. It features thicker spokes, more holes for filament and thinner spool sides (mainly for TUSH style spool holders). You can either use the velcro straps Refill 2.0 spools come with or the flange connector (which is basically the one made by Formfutura with smaller tabs) to keep the sides conected to the cardboard core.
My design is inspired by the Formfutura flanges but it is designed from scratch. My goal was to make my design print in less time and use less filament than the flanges made by Formfutura, but while I was testing my design they updated theirs and mine now takes a bit longer to print and doesnt save nearly as much filament😕.
My goal still stands though and I will release an updated version of this filament flange that uses less filament and prints in less time as soon as possible. I also want to implement a new concept I personally haven't seen before.
Either way, I hope you like it ^^
(Btw, I haven't seen Formfutura mention this, but their flange connectors can fit together which makes stacking Refill spools slightly more secure. Thought it was pretty cool)
