I printed it with white PLA to match my curtain panels, but you can print it with silver PLA to match your panels.

You may want to scale up in 0.1mm increments to fit the curtain holder rail properly according to your printer settings tolerance; the piece must fit snugly in the rail when inserted. I advise against gluing. You may also print it as is if you want it to run in the rail, which actually does not affect the functionality.

My OCD made me look for a solution to open all my IKEA VIDGA curtain panels at the same time, leaving the right amount of intersection instead of pulling the panels in the correct order and adjusting them every time my wife decided to open the room. I use the panels as a room divider, but this can also work if you use the panels as curtains.

HOW TO USE:

Look at the animation and pictures to see how to install it.

  1. Print at least two pieces per panel, except for the outermost panel, which will use no sliders. So, if you have three panels, you'll need to print four pieces (two for each except the outermost).
  2. Remove the side lock of the upper curtain holder (the piece that slides in the rail), and insert two pieces in the holder, then install the lock again:

  3. Remove all the panels from the rail except for the outermost.
  4. Insert the second panel, being careful for the slide link lid to be before the outermost lock so that when you move the inner panel, the lid collides with the outermost lock and pulls it together.
  5. Repeat the procedure with all your panels.
  6. Voilá!
