Beach Tent Pole 'Spreader' Base

Beach tents are great! But, they start off nice and tall and through the day they shrink and go saggy! - because the poles sink into the sand. This is a simple spreader and grab base that slips on the pole-end. Stops the pole sinking and improves safety / stability in wind. Safer beach tents that stay where they are meant to for longer. Job done.

I made out of 95A shore TPU with 20% gyroid fill and 3 perimeters. Firm enough to grab, but soft enough for durability and shatter protection. The central column - around the post hole - has a modifier to increase fill to 60% gyroid

These were designed for the large Beach Ninja - which uses 25mm poles and also for the smaller 2 pole version that uses 8mm poles (which was even worse for sinking into the sand). The 8mm bases also work on the Otentik Nano owned by friends, so any 25mm or 8mm pole equipped tent/shade should benefit from these pole ends.

STL's provided for both. Prints right way up. 8mm pole end requires no support. 25mm pole end requires a little central enforced support. Happy holidays.
