A fun fidget toy comprising of 3 helix pillars and each having a double helical gear that travels up and down in a group when spun or flipped upside down and gravity does the rest.
This is my first attempt at such a model and I'm very new to 3d printing so it isn't perfect tolerance wise (see last pic for all the test pieces lol) and some scarring between suppport interface/overhang but works perfectly once its been worked in a few times.
You should be able to print both the assembled and split versions in any layer height but I designed it around 0.3mm for speed (assembled was 1hr 30m and split 1hr 8m) so the gears in the assembled version are spaced 0.3mm above the base to allow for print in place to work but I havent tested 0.2mm as functions fine once worn in.
Use Organic supports for the top plate only so builds from plate instead of on the model.
If you fancy trying to improve the tolerances etc then go at it and remix!
