We needed a lamp to illuminate the basement stairs. The lamp we bought from the hardware store was neither attractive nor could it be properly mounted and wired due to a lack of space. 

As a temporary solution, I modeled a lamp that matches the shape and color of the stair handrail. The lamp has now been hanging for two years and is here to stay. 

To avoid melting the plastic, please use only LED lamps with low heat output. I use a 3W LED with a 35mm diameter and GU10 base.
