Begleri beads for 550 with optional m6 nuts as weights.
This is a set of begleri beads to be used with 550 paracord.
There are two sizes; small (for smaller hands) and large.
Of each model there's a ribbed and a smooth version.
And of each one there are three options: weighted with m6 and 5mm high nuts, round cavity for a hidden knot without nuts and a fully solid version with an exposed knot.
Printing instructions.
1. A layer height of 0.2 with adaptive layer height for the top should be good.
2. 100% rectilinear infill
3. 3 walls, 5 top and bottom layers.
4. I had the wall generator at classic, but play around with arachne if needed.
5. I used a random seam with scarf joints for a super smooth finish.
6. Print for the best results with the big chamfer and opening down and use supports.
7. Be creative and print them in different colors.
8. Grab the .step file if your slicer takes that, because it gives smoother circles.
9. PLA works just fine. Use PETG if you want them more heat and UV resistant.
Assembly
1. Depending on how dialed in your printer is, the nuts should fit very snug. Hammer them in if needed.
2. If they don't fit: calibrate your filament, use a hammer or scale the print up by 1 or 2%
3. Choose you own weight: most models fit three nuts. I added a bonus one where half a nut is exposed (just for looks). But you can choose to add 1, 2 or 3.
4. Use a small drop of super glue to hold the last bead in place.
5. For an optimal string length:
