This model expands the existing colour options by allowing you to use any filament you have in storage, enabling you to fully customize your Elgato Stream Deck + to match your style and aesthetic preferences—all without paying 19.99€ + shipping for an original aluminium dial set.
These knobs are thoughtfully designed to provide a balance between functionality and customization, making them a perfect fit for enhancing your setup.
The standout feature of this model is its compliant clamping mechanism. By incorporating a one-layer gap at the bottom, the central structure is allowed to move freely in its clamping direction. This approach ensures a consistent and controlled clamping force along the length of the stem, rather than relying on an interference fit that increases clamping pressure toward the bottom.
Included as an optional add-on, this model offers a sleeve that can be printed in vase mode. Printing the sleeve in vase mode minimizes imperfections around the circumference, resulting in a smoother, more pleasant operation.
This model is designed to be printable in any standard material, so feel free to use whatever you have on hand. For best results, use a 0.4mm nozzle, which is ideal for achieving the model’s designed tolerances.
The sleeve part of the model can be a bit tricky. It’s specifically designed to work with a 0.38mm line width in vase mode that Prusa Slicer generates for a 0.4 mm profile. Before starting your print, double-check that your slicer is set up correctly. This is crucial for achieving the proper fit between the sleeve and the hub. One or two hundreds won't make a difference but if you are off by more, scale the model in X/Y direction or customize the model parameters in the Fusion 360 file.
The caps are small enough to be printed sequentially (See Sequential printing in the Prusa Knowledge base). Hint: Press E to enable the sequence number display.
