Honeycomb Desk Organizer with Drawer

Here is a stylish simple organizer for you desk or office space. The basic design includes a drawer, shelf, and pen/pencil holder. The top shelf of the organizer is the perfect size for a 3in by 3in (or 76mm by 76mm) Post-It note. The drawers are perfect for holding your various office supplies, such as erasers and paperclips (the internal size of the drawer is 72mm by 72mm). The pencil holder attachment can hold up to 4 pencils or 2-3 thicker pens (the internal size is 20mm by 20mm).

To get started, print a single organizer with a drawer. The drawer can have no dividers, or a single divider down the center. To expand this design, you can print a pen/pencil holder attachment that hangs on the side of the model. Up to 4 holders can be hung on a single organizer (2 on each side). Furthermore, there is a double wide option that can house 2 drawers and has 2 shelves.

Printing Instructions (Standard):
I used PETG (although PLA also works) with 0.25mm layer height, 10% infill, 3 walls, and no supports. Print using the orientations provided.

There are three different patterns available: fully honeycombed, honeycomb walls only, and no honeycomb. More honeycomb patterns increase print time, but reduce filament cost. Note: the bottoms of the drawers do not have a honeycomb pattern to prevent smaller items from getting stuck.

The vertical honeycomb patterns could prove difficult if your printer is not well tuned, so if you're concerned about this, print a single organizer as a test or print the “no honeycomb" options to be safe.
