Designed for “regular” size mason jar lids
1 mm thick
69 mm diameter
Print Settings
- 0.2mm layer height
- No Skirt or Brim
Procedure
In order to print the design as a different color, you are going to print 1 layer of the design, then, using a 2nd gcode file, print the background on top of the first print. This will result in printing a 2nd first layer, but it shouldn't overlap anything.
- Ensure the model is face down in PrusaSlicer.
- Right click and select “Split” → “To objects”.
- On the right, you should now see multiple STLs. Turn the visibility of the first off.
- Only the design should be visible now (when you slice).
- Important: Set “Skirt and Brim” to 0. Set Layer height to 0.20mm.
- Slice the model and save the gcode file as “design”.
- Reverse the visibility of the STLs to make the design invisible and the background visible.
- Slice the model and save the gcode file as “background”.
- Load the design color and print the design.
- Immediately after printing finishes, unload the filament and load the background color.
- Leave the design on the print bed, but remove the purge line at the front of the printer.
- Print the background.
- Enjoy!
