Couldn't find a product like this to buy, so had to make it myself :(
After having little luck using a the “DJI Floating Handle” and a hand held light I bought a rig for mounting the camera on and lights on the side, but still having issues hitting the trigger button with a large dry-glove without obscuring the screen I made a trigger so I can still hold with both hands.
Not yet tested underwater, but seems solid enough.
I am still quite new to 3D design, so my Fusion 360 sketch is a mess. Only rounded edges on the side facing the user, got contraint issues on the other side which I don't know how to resolve.
The trigger itself might be a bit thicker so it won't bend so much … but not sure exactly how thick, or where the thickness ought to be.
The fit is not 100% either, but good enough for me. Some locking mechanism so that you can't pop it off while underwater would have been nice, but that is an exercise left to the reader :D
Remixes welcome!
Printed in PLA, with organic support for the two holes and the pin to hit the tigger.
Might be best to have 100% infill to avoid getting water trapped inside. Not sure how high pressure PLA can handle with air pockets …
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
