Spring-action Butterfly V-clip for Attaching Maintenance Accessories to Swimming Pool Poles

If you have ever maintained a swimming pool you will be familiar with this type of clip. I needed replacements and ended up designing my own. My priorities were durability and printability. I carefully chose the dimensions to make sure my clips will easily fit in the tightest accessory I have here, but still have enough tension and peg length to keep any accessory securely attached to even this beat up old pole my dad has. I did not design them to match the appearance of any injection molded clip but instead to do the same or better job as those clips when 3D printed with a suitable material.

Since they will be subject to physical abuse and chemical and UV attack, and because it is very inexpensive, I used PETG with 100% infill. PLA might be too brittle for this application but you can try it if that's all you have. They are only about 2 grams each and the overall dimensions are 44 x 44 x 4.92 mm. The pegs are 5.8 mm in diameter. No supports are required when printing in the default orientation. The default orientation is highly recommended for strength.

My design is free for individuals to use for their own personal non-commercial usage. You can also view it on onshape and export it into many different formats, and additionally with an onshape account you could make your own copy and change the dimensions or design however you like.
