Minimalistic Ceiling Mount Frame for Flat LED Panels

LED panels for suspended ceilings are widely available and can be purchased for little money. There is a large selection of good quality panels. But what if you don't have a grid where you can insert the lamp? A mounting frame costs more then half the price of the lamp again, and if you need several of them...

So I designed a minimalistic corners-only surface mounted frame for LED-panels of 11mm thickness . 31mm free distance to the ceiling allows to hide the connection cable and the inverter (LED-driver). The mount screws are invisible.

I used PLA-Hi - tough and stable, so it won't break when sliding the panel into the notch of the two front corners and fiddling around with the connection cable.

Marking the drill holes:

Subtract 50mm from the over-all-measure of the panel (for a 62,5x62,5 panel this would be a square of 57,5mm).

Check the diagonals to obtain an exact square!! (Pythagoras! Diagonal is 81,3mm in this case).

Even if the .3mf file doesn't meet you printer setup (for me it is an MK3S+MMU2), it shows the orientation of the parts to be printed without support.
