I appreciate, but was unhappy with the various existing PG07 mounts for Galileo 2 with the EBB SB 2209. So made a new one. I suspect this would work with the EBB SB 2040, but have not tried.

Differences between this and the other options I could find:

  • Mounts the PG07 inline with the CAN Bus cable coming directly off of the toolhead board, for a cleaner path with significantly less cable-weight at the toolhead.
  • All aspects of it made with consideration to both weight and stability/robustness. Fluted main standoff for example, to keep it strong with less material.
  • Designed with ease of printing in mind. Supports are recommended, but will not be needed for small holes or the PG07 threads , allowing those features to easily print cleanly.
  • Designed with ease of use in mind. Space for wiring is built-in. One can usually install this without re-plugging things on their toolhead… Including the CAN Bus cable if relevant, as the cutout in the PG07 mount allows getting this around the cable from the side.
  • Works well with 3010 fan modded cable door: https://www.printables.com/model/952294-3010-3007-fan-cable-cover-for-galileo-2

Please use the affiliate links below for any supplies you may need for  this. Design, testing, prototype prints and refinement amounted to hours of work, and I will certainly do more of this if it ever starts paying off.  :-)

Regarding Locktite: It is a rare case where you should not use Loctite for the long screw here. It would be good for the aluminum standoff and that standoff screw. But the long screw is compressing plastic, which acts as a built-in lockwasher. And Locktite increases the force on the heat set insert and can hasten it failing and coming out of the plastic. It is for this reason that I recommend the weak stuff in general for use in 3D printers, such as Loctite 222, 6ml: https://amzn.to/3zpIShE or 50ml: https://amzn.to/3L7HHG2. But the cost/benefit ratio for use on that long screw is low, so just not use it here.
