MFP (Mostly Flat Profile) - I'm sure a better name exists, but this is what they got! I generated these as I wanted a cheap and easy set of keycaps that I could just print whenever experimenting with a new board.
They are very vaguely DSA inspired caps built in Freecad and designed to print face up on the print bed for simplicity. They are parameterised in a Freecad spreadsheet so that you can change the length from 1u out to whatever size you may need.
I've included a 1.5u STEP here as these were going on a Corne keyboard. There's also two types of homing key (bump and dish), as well as embedded arrow keys. Adding other glyphs could be done in Freecad using the arrow source file as a starting point and editing the value and font of the ShapeString.
The adhesion support version includes some snippable fins on the underside to add some surface area and help stop the caps shifting during printing.
Recommended print settings are encapsulated in the attached 3MF file, however they are roughly:
Note - the renders are mostly in the STEP format, as the STL exports generally have worse quality on export. I've included only one STL variant here generated from a higher quality mesh for the printables renderer.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
