My wife is a teacher, and she asked me to design some light-weight, inexpensive cubbies to hold her classroom sterilite bins.

These are designed to snap together with 1/8” thick hardboard, and can be adjusted to hold as many bins as you’d like by printing additional middle sections. Depth can be customized by the width of your hardboard sheets. For our bins, 13.7” allowed us to maximize hardboard usage, while making them deep enough for the bins.

I used a .8mm nozzle with .4mm layer height and elegoo pla. I also printed them with a .6mm nozzle, but the .8 saves a lot of time when you’re doing a classroom set of 10 assemblies. No supports are needed, but the male dovetails may need a little cleanup without them.

For me, print time was 14 hours per set of 4 on my neptune 4pro. Total filament used was about 1kg per set of 4 At 100% infill.
