Inspiron 15 3567 - Motherboard Case/Server Case

This is a custom-modeled case for upcycling my old Inspiron 15 3567 laptop motherboard into a nicer form factor case to use as a server.

Printed in 3 parts

Used silicone putty to seal gaps between heatsink and io shield as well as hold the Screw Placement in place once slid into ioshield. 

Optional mounts on top case to mount SSD.

Hole for airflow if you want to mount an external fan

The case can be simplified to be a lot shorter if needed

The rectangular slot in the bottom piece is to hold the Inspiron 15s LCD board. This is required as with this specific model if the LCD board isn't attached the computer will auto shutdown after 30 seconds. Sadly there is no bios option to disable this so the board must be included. The actual LCD can be ripped off the board and disposed, however, it is necessary. I used 33mm Kapton Tape to hold this down in place to ensure nothing could short the motherboard.

I used a cheap fan grill from aliexpress to serve as a dust filter for the main input although its not really necessary.

The holes in the side of the case are there incase the fit is not tight enough but for most printers the friction fit between the lid and case should be more then enough.
