I loved the idea of reusing the parts from Prusa upgrade. I have a friend who upgraded their print farm, and now has 4+ sets of leftover parts. I found the Prusa Leftovers Edition by kool_memes, but wanted to use an internal power supply like the original MK6 does. I've edited the Base - Bottom and Base - LCD Mount to accommodate a Meanwell LRS-100-24 internal power supply (Fairly easy to find on Amazon in the US).
Upon further use, I would recommend adding the line;
M907 E850
to your g-codes when using this edition.
This increases the voltage of the extruder stepper to 0.850v as the vref (assuming you use a larger stepper from a different axis). I took a look at the Prusa firmware, and that's what they use on the X and Y axis. You can gradually increase this value as needed, but the motor will start to get hot. It shouldn't surpass 55c. I personally run mine at 1.5v, but I used a 50mm stepper instead of a Prusa stepper. This way you get more torque.
You can also skip on re-using the fan, just go into the menu;
SETTINGS > FANS CHECK > OFF
The author remixed this model.
