3D Printed Self-Watering Pot Plant

Introducing the cutting-edge self-watering pot plant design, perfect for enhancing your gardening experience! This unique 3D printed pot features hollow walls and a central spout that revolutionizes plant hydration.

Key Features:

Innovative Watering System: The central spout, buried slightly under the soil, ensures even water distribution directly to the plant's roots. To prevent excess sand from entering the spout, we recommend using a simple solution like moss, coconut husk, or a mesh layer over the spout holes.

Efficient Watering Inlet: Fill the pot through the conveniently located watering inlet at the top inside. The water will slowly trickle out from the central spout, providing a steady moisture supply to the soil.

Customizable Sizes: The pot measures 120mm x 120mm x 153mm, but it can be easily scaled up or down. It functions perfectly in sizes ranging from as small as 60mm x 80mm x 80mm to larger than the original dimensions.

Material Recommendation: For outdoor use or exposure to sunlight, we suggest printing in PETG for enhanced durability and longevity.

No Support Needed: This design requires no supports during printing, making it easy and efficient to produce.

Optimal Drainage: Incorporate a drainage layer at the bottom, along with press-on feet to elevate the pot. These features promote excellent drainage through the four holes at the base, preventing waterlogging and ensuring healthy plant growth.

Additional Tips:

  • For smaller pots, expect less water to trickle out due to the reduced size of the internal tank.
  • Avoid filling the pot entirely with soil to allow the roots to access water from the spout effectively.
