In "play mode" It provides a raised lip to give extra grip and fits snugly. In "storage mode" the console has a tendency to slide out. In my case the grey felt (IKEA drawer liner felt) along the sides prevents console from being placed into case. Overall. I am quite happy with make. Update, I placed the felt lower down along sides which provided a more secure fit and prevents console from sliding out. (edited)
Printed in PETG from REAL, 0.4mm nozzle, 0.2mm layer height @ 200mm/s, it took about 2h45m to print.
The grip fits, I wish it was a bit tighter, but I guess some felt can fix that.
It's comfortable to hold and doesn't get in the way.
The best part is that is also functions as a stand.
Edit #1: today the 1mm thick sticky felt came in. I cut a piece to protect the screen and two 1x1cm pieces for the sides. Now it holds the console nice and tight. It feels safe enough to be usable as an actual case. (edited)
I'm not sure but it looks like the fit isn't tight, maybe there can be a lip at the very top to secure it in. (edited)
@hwerd_2200565 Did you use felt on the sides? It should sit secure, but not squeezed too tight to be difficult to remove. Alternatively, it can be scaled to be 1mm less wide and about 0.5mm less thick to work without it.
@dildesigns Sounds good! I have some cork tape that I'll try on the backing.
