This is an enlarged/expanded battery tray for the Nerf Ultra 2.
I created a bump out on the top of the tray to allow better fitment for the wires along the top of a 3S battery. It has also been expanded both front and back for better fitment of a lipo alarm and XT60 connectors.
The opening for the wires can fit a 3/8" rubber grommet if you want a little more of a snug fit to prevent them pulling on the motor terminals.
The shell needs to be trimmed enough to fit the new expanded tray by making it flush with the plastic of the screw post as well as flush with the plastic that holds the door tabs. All other surfaces just need to be trimmed at the same point or lower as the tray will be held in by these two points. See images for removal of shell ribbing and inner shell work to fit. THIS WILL REQUIRE THE REMOVAL OF THE CLIPS THAT HOLD THE “ULTRA” NAMEPLATE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE SHELL! You will either have to glue it in place after removal of the clips or replace with a printed nameplate.
Normal print settings should be fine and no supports are needed. Depending on your printers tolerance the lip that fits into the opening should be fairly snug. For the dark grey filament that was printed on my Bambu X1C the corners needed to be trimmed a little from some over extrusion blobs but snapped into place after that. Enjoy!
