This is untested but shared this as someone might be interested in testing it.

X axis conversion from linear rail and extrusion to linear rod. Uses standard MGN12H mounting so many toolheads can be adapted easily or already exist. The graphite brass sleeve bearings I've listed below are 8mm ID, 12mm OD and 20mm in length, but can be swapped for 40mm if you can find them and you would only need two of those rather than four.

This uses the original idler bearings, spacers and washers.

This is compatible with my RenderXY modification.

I've orientated all the parts ready for printing and I'd recommend printing all parts with supports touching buildplate at least.

X Carriage:

  • 4x Graphite Brass Sleeve Bearing (8mm id) (12X8X20). (Pic 4)
  • 4x M3 heat inserts (4mm L, 5mm OD). (Pic 5)
  • 4x M3 x 25mm (at least) for toolhead.
  • 4x M3 x 8mm socket or pan head. (Pic 6)
  • 2x 8mm x 335mm linear rod.

MGN12H Idler Brackets:

  • 8x M3 heat inserts (4mm L, 5mm OD). (Pic 7)
  • 16x M3 x 10mm socket head.
  • 4x M5 x 50mm socket or pan head.
  • 4x M5 nyloc nut.

Look at pic 7, 8 and 9 for screw locations.

Remember this is untested until I get confirmation but I'm pretty sure there won't be any issues.
